Alright, we will jump on on this happy entrepreneur's day! I just stumbled upon this photo last night, it's Sarah and me (Betsy) at the first shop after pinning up the Estate of Things wood cutout on the wall behind our first checkout counter. Sept 2016. This was a dream that was a decade in the making. We came up with the name of our endeavor on a pair of barstools in a downtown Southern Pines pub. Soon after a blog was born and from opposite sides of the nation we shared our passion for home decor projects and renovation. (Are you familiar with Sarah's local SoPi projects? Her historic renovation portfolio is inspiring. ) . . From day one, we hoped to have our own shop, our own corner to create and curate. @SHOPTEOT is all about a mix. We pair high with low, new with old, boho with trad, SoCal with the South. Sarah and I are our own mix and we each do our best to bring our entrepreneurial spirit to the table and hear each other day after day. I love being in a partnership that is creative, collaborative and supportive and I love that together we are interested in supporting others. Just this past year TEOT has grown so much. We have welcomed our own gang of fellow bosses to work alongside at the Southern Pines location and we are knee deep in a new community of entrepreneurs in our Venice, CA location too!
